PLEASANTVILLE - There's still plenty of action left this winter, but there's no doubt that winning a section title will provide more pep in Pearl River's step for the next leg in a marathon of a season.
There aren't any other sports where teams get an opportunity to compete for a section title so early in the season, and for the first time since 2017, the Pirates were able to capture the Section 1 Dviision II Dual Meet Tournament championship hardware. They defeated top-seeded Pleasantville, 40-27.
