The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference is preparing to host the AMCC Wrestling Championship this weekend at Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA. Wrestlers will take to the mats on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.
The Alfred State Men's Wrestling team enters the AMCC Championships with a 7–5 overall record and a 2–2 mark in conference competition. The Pioneers are led by senior Sean Malenfant who holds a 41-5 record and leads all of the NCAA in Falls victories with 35 on the year so far. The Pioneers will also have Owen Cummings and Aaron Johnson taking the mat as well. Both earned second-team all-conference honors last season.
The Penn State Behrend wrestling team is looking to improve on their runner-up finish from last year’s championship. Rudy Brown, the 2025 AMCC Newcomer of the Year, returns as the reigning champion at 157. Behrend enters the championships as the AMCC Dual-Meet Champions, after going 4-0 against conference teams during the regular season. Louie DeJulia (184) and Abe Keep (197) lead the Lions with 21 wins, while Zach Dellinger (125) has 19 and Evan Whiteside in fourth with 17 victories at 125. Mason Savitz (165), Whiteside and Keep have been regionally ranked all season.
Pitt-Bradford Wrestling enters the AMCC Championship Tournament after securing a 9-8 dual meet record this season. They are led by the program's all-time wins leader, Senior D.J. Slovick. Slovick has a 23-7 record this season with 15 pins and is looking to secure his third all-conference honor. Nikolas Fegert has a 25-10 record this season and has spent time in the regional rankings at 149. Mike Worsen has had a strong debut at 133, posting a 23-10 record with 15 pins, while Gavin Thompson is 19-9 at 197. Cade Stern (21-15) has been the Panthers hottest wrestler, taking third place at the Allstate Invitational and winning three matches at the U of S Duals.
Penn State Altoona men’s wrestling, in its second year as an NCAA sport for the Lions, enters the AMCC Championships having competed in 13 dual meets and three open tournaments during the 2025-26 season. Sophomore Andrew Weaver leads Penn State Altoona with seven overall wins this season, including three dual-meet victories, while competing at 174 and 184. Freshman Gonzalo Santana Hernandez has wrestled at 165, 174, and 184 this season while competing in 19 bouts.
Penn College looks to repeat last year’s AMCC Championship success with the return of six AMCC Champions and three bronze medalists from the 2025 Championship team. The Wildcats posted a 6-6 dual meet record and placed third at the Ithaca Invitational and Shenandoah Invitational this season. Junior TJ Martin (149) looks to become a three-time AMCC finalist as he enters the tournament with a 17-5 record and an Ithaca individual title. Sophomore Carter Davis (165) continues to be a steady presence in the middle of the lineup as he leads the team with a 22-3 season record and the top-ranked NWCA Region 2 wrestler in the weight class. Davis won both an Ithaca and Shenandoah individual title earlier this season. Also in the lineup will be returning AMCC gold medalists, Justin Adams (125), Kaden Ware (141), Isaac Cory (174) and Nicholai Brotzman (285). Brett Patton (157), Gavin Gomes (174) and Cole Shupp (184) hope to improve on their bronze-medal performances from 2025.
