The Lockport wrestling Lions got pins when they needed them most, but it was Josh Gill's nail-biting, come-from-behind, one-point win at 106 pounds that went the furthest in the mat Lions' 48-24 victory over the visiting Grand Island Vikings.
With the win, head coach Joe Scapelliti's Lions improved to 4-0 this season in the Niagara Frontier League. Coach Craig Hoplight's Vikings dropped to 2-2 in league matches.
