Cal-Mum wrestling coach Paul 'Chip' Day goes out on top in final season at the helm

After 38 years, 199 dual meet wins, coaching three wrestlers to the state tournament, and claiming a team sectional title in 2026, legendary Caledonia-Mumford boys wrestling coach Paul ‘Chip’ Day has decided to head into retirement.

Day was a wrestler himself at Cal-Mum, graduating in 1975. After his son decided they wanted to try wrestling, he got his start in coaching at the youth level, eventually working his way up to varsity.
