Visha, Ludrosky Place Second In Joseph Pellicano Wrestling Invite

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Freshmen Daniel Visha (125 pounds) and Rider Ludrosky (165 pounds) finished second in their respective weight classes as the St. John Fisher wrestling team finished the regular season on Saturday in the Joseph Pellicano Invitational.

The Cardinals had six placers in the tournament overall. The other four included sophomore Kaden Potter (third place, 174 pounds), sophomore Shay Sinitiere (fifth place, 141 pounds), sophomore Justin Coiteux (sixth place, 149 pounds) and freshman Ayden Estep (sixth place, 157 pounds).

Visha dominated his first two opponents, taking out Cortland's Noah Barke 17-1 by technical fall before pinning NYU's Neale Pathak in 1:57. He fell to NYU's Xavier Diaz in the 125-pound first-place match.

Ludrosky pinned his first three opponents – Thomas Mancini (Cortland), Justin Klein (Cortland) and Jack Pickersgill (Cortland) – on his way to the championship match in the 165-pound bracket. RIT's Zach Gerby beat Ludrosky in that bout to claim first place.
