The Dansville/Way-Co wrestling program hosted Corning for a dual meet Tuesday night as the grapplers from Way-Co had their senior night during their 39-36 victory.
Congratulations to Way-Co seniors Noah Ott and Xavier Taylor for their commitment to the sport of wrestling.

Winners for DWC included Ryder Jordan (103, Forfeit); Weston Mehlenbacher (110, Maj Dec win); Wyatt Sartori (118, pin); Isaac Kurtz (132, tech fall); Garrett Mehlenbacher (144, pin); Michael Dale (157, pin) and Peter Thompson (165, pin).

DWC has also been recognized as the No. 7-ranked team in NYS for the individual power rankings.

“We, as a team have been recognized for having at least four guys ranked and predicted to go to states,” DWC coach Justin Walker said. “Currently. Weston (103) and Garrett (138) Mehlenbacher are both top 15 in the state with Wyatt Sartori is ranked first at 110 pounds, and Peter Thompson ranked second at 165 in the state rankings. Historic year for our team and best ever in program history.”
