Born in Rochester, New York, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Arthur W. Jones III was the beloved son of Superintendent A.W. Jones Jr. and the late Camille M. Jones, who now rests peacefully with their eldest daughter, Carmen N. Jones.
Arthur was a proud graduate of Union-Endicott High School, where he was a two-time New York State Wrestling Champion. He continued his education at Syracuse University, excelling as a standout defensive lineman before joining the NFL and achieving his dream of becoming a Super Bowl Champion with the Baltimore Ravens.
Beyond his athletic accomplishments, Arthur was an entrepreneur and a pillar in his community. He owned The Recovery Lounge, a wellness center, and was building his own trucking company at the time of his passing. A passionate outdoorsman, he found joy in fishing, duck hunting, and the simple peace of nature.
Arthur will always be remembered for his generosity, humility, and unwavering loyalty. He gave freely to others—often the shirt off his back—and devoted his time and resources to helping those in need. Known for his quiet strength and kind heart, Arthur was a devoted father, son, brother, spouse, and friend
He is survived by his father, Pastor A.W. Jones Jr.; his brothers, Chandler J. Jones and Jonathan D. Jones; his children, Arthur Jones IV, Skylar Jones, and Sydney Jones; and his beloved fiancée, Maya Burns. His step-mother Delores Jones and step-sister Deremi. He also leaves behind a large and loving extended family and countless friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A gentle giant in every sense, Arthur’s love, integrity, and spirit will live on in all who knew him.

Calling hours will be held at City Church, 285 Main Street, Binghamton, NY 13905, on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 10am - 12pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 12pm. A Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the Grove Place Cemetery, Rochester, NY.
