CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced today the pre-seeding for the upcoming 2022 MAC Wrestling Championships (March 4 & 5), hosted by Ohio University at the Convocation Center in Athens, Ohio.
Listed below is the pre-seeding for the MAC Wrestling Championships following today's conference call with all 13 MAC head wrestling coaches. The MAC will release the final 2022 MAC Wrestling Championships bracket later this week.
The Bulls have wrestlers seeded in eight of the 10 weight classes.
Derek Spann is UB's highest seeded wrester, seeded second at 133. John Arceri and Sam Mitchell are seeded fourth at 149 and 197, respectively. UB has three wrestlers seeded fifth, Michael Petite (157), Noah Grover (165) and Jay Nivison (174). Pete Acciardi (184) and Toby Cahill (285) are both seeded eighth.
