Reese Levendusky moved to from New York to Tennessee last summer and immediately made his mark on the wrestling community, winning a Section 4 title last weekend and earning a #3 seed at TSSAA A States.
"It was a great experience," said Levendusky, a sophomore 120. "It felt like all my hard work had paid off. Thanks to God for the talent He's given me and His blessing on my life."
He heads into States with a 30-5 record, 39-6 including preseason tournaments, and only received one forfeit this season.
"A lot came together for him this year," said father-coach Derek Levendusky, who serves as an assistant coach at Montgomery Central. "He finally grew up physically, worked hard in the weight room and wrestling room in the off-season, and got himself ready for every match. The whole program is proud of him."
Tennessee States will stream live on FloWrestling this week, Thursday through Saturday.
