The Alfred State wrestling team earned victories in the first three matches as they closed the 2019 portion of the season vs. Alvernia. The Golden Wolves rallied and earned the 37-11 victory.

Brian Hedding (Rush Henrietta) got the day started with a 11-0 victory over Jonathan Portillo at 125 lbs. Jesse Pitoni (Churchville Chili) followed at 133 and made it 7-0 when he earned a 10-4 victory over Louis LaRocca. Owen Kissell (Alden) earned a major decision at 141 with a 11-2 victory over Alexander Gorlin.

The Golden Wolves got things going and won the final seven matches of the day.

The Pioneers are next in action on January 11th when they travel to Brockport to take on the Eagles and Pitt Bradford.
