ALBANY — Winning sectionals in wrestling is a big accomplishment. But it's nothing compared to being the best in the state in your weight class. Wrestlers from across New York vied for titles at the state championships this weekend at the Times Union Center.
Palmyra-Macedon's Jace Schafer claimed a title in the 99-pound weight class with a 2-0 decision over Newfane's Andy Lucinski. Schafer capped off the season with a record of 55-3.
