ALBANY — Friday was opening day, and moving day for area wrestlers at the NYSPHSAA Wrestling Championships, as eight grapplers finished the afternoon with an opportunity to reach the podium at tournament's end.
Leading the list of potential place finishers, Warsaw's Sam Wolf (170) and Nate DeGroff (195), as well as Letchworth's Chase Runfola (145) all punched their ticket to the final four of their respective weight class, after all three recorded 2-0 performances on Friday at the Times Union Center.
