BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo wrestling team will travel to East Lansing, MI to face off against Big Ten-foe Michigan State on Wednesday night. The Bulls are looking to win their fourth straight dual.
After dropping its season-opener at 21st-ranked Wisconsin, Buffalo rattled off three straight dual wins over Cleveland State, VMI and Bucknell, respectively, to improve to 3-1. Bryan Lantry (141) is 11th and Jake Gunning (285) is 18th in the latest national rankings.
This will be the first dual of the season for the Spartans. However, they did recently finish first out of 16 teams at the Navy Classic. Michigan State has a pair of wrestlers in the national ranking - RayVon Foley is ranked 10th at 125 and Cameron Caffey is ranked 15th at 184.
This will be the second ever meeting between the schools. The Spartans edged the Bulls, 18-17, at Alumni Arena last season.
The dual is scheduled to start at 7 pm at the Jenison Field House.
