Williamsville South's wrestling team recorded a 38-36 home win over Amherst Jan. 17, avenging a loss earlier in the season.

"They are a well-coached, solid team, so we were anticipating a tough match," South coach Chris Heximer said.

"Overall this was a very exciting dual meet with lots of momentum swings," added Amherst coach Dennis Bauer. "It is always best when both teams show up very prepared and I think that was the case on Wednesday."
