With most schools closed and events cancelled due to sub-zero temperatures outside, Fairport turned up the heat on Brockport in a non-divisional, Monroe County match-up at Fairport on January 4, 2018. Fairport won a close battle, 33-30, clinching what will likely be the #4 seed at the 1st Annual NYSPHSAA Section V Division I Dual Meet Wrestling Championships, January 6 at Hilton.
