1953-1954 Perry Yellow Jackets

WRESTLING. The varsity wrestling team this year participated in twelve matches, winning the first ten. Our last two opponents were Letchworth and Wellsville, these two being the toughest. We gave them a good match, even though three of our boys were out because of injuries. Bob Green and John Crawford were the Perry wrestlers who won county Championships awards with John winning Class B sectionals at 138 pounds in Rochester. SOURCE: 1954 Periscope.
