Batavia H.S. Wrestling Team Will Be Curtailed at Request of Board
The Board of Education has asked that the Batavia High School varsity wrestling team be terminated, Coach 'Ollie' Spaulding announced today. He was informed that a new sport should not be introduced at such a time when the need to save is so prevalent. The sport will not be discontinued, however, he said, but it will become an intra-mural activity, instead. SOURCE: Batavia Daily News, Friday, January 30, 1942.
