ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

UNIONDALE - Nick Clark, a senior at Canisteo-Greenwood Central School, won the
New York State Public High School Athletic Association Division II 189-pound
wrestling championship Saturday evening at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale on
Long Island.
It marks the first state wrestling title in the history of the program at
Canisteo-Greenwood.
Clark, who completed his senior season with the Redskins with a record of 31-0
after missing most of the month of December recovering from a broken leg
sustained during football season, dominated Pearl River's Shawn Logue out of
Section 1 in each of the first two periods before he went on to a third-period
pin.
Clark reached the finals after pinning Red Hook's Richie Ross out of Section 9
in 39 seconds and Salem's Nick Wilson out of Section 2 in 1:12.
Clark is looking to continue his wrestling career at the collegiate level next
year.
Kyle Amidon, who wrestled at 152 pounds for the Redskins, took a fifth-place
finish in the Division II Tournament after defeating Royal Hart's (Section 6)
Steve Farrell, 9-1. Amidon was also awarded the Section V Sportsmanship Award,
which is determined by the Section V coaching staff.
Amdion broke two school records to complete his career. He currently holds the
record for most pins in a season at 33, rewriting the record previously held by
Clark, as well as the record for career wins at 199. The career mark was
previously held by Devan Bertch at 197
Amidon plans on attending Alfred State College in the fall and will continue his
wrestling career at the National Junior College Athletic Association level.
Bath-Haverling junior Bryant Madigan finished fourth in the 275-pound weight
class.
