ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Despite a somewhat
gloomy season for the 1974-75 Cardinal Mooney Varsity Wrestling team, there were
several consistent winners. Captain Pat Erb
finished the City-Catholic League undefeated at 119 lbs. Junior Jerry
Read (138), Mark Baker
(112) and Dave Ciavarri (215) all finished
with far above .500 records. Read captured a first place finish in the Avon
Christmas Tourney, Baker and Erb each placing second, while Frosh Bill
Begy (98) and sophomore Tom Heindl
(145) each finished third. The past season showed the coming of many fine young
wrestlers. Leaving the team are only two wrestlers, Pat Erb and Dave
Connors (177). Many good things are to be said
for this year's team concerning their hard work, determination, and dedication.
