articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Jones Wins Sectionals for Second Straight Year
The CA Varsity wrestlers closed their challenging season with an excellent 8-1
league record. Our mighty Braves finished in second place, losing only to a good
Mynderse team by a mere three points in their first match of the year.
Don Jones had an outstanding season, ringing up 28 straight victories and then
went on to win the Sectionals. CA ended up in third place in the Finger Lakes,
behind Mynderse and Geneva. Junior Jerry Case also emerged victorious, while
Senior Bob Connelly and Sophomore Jim Hartwell did a fine job, coming in second
place. Steve Connelly and Doug Rouse came in third place, and Bob Gustin, John
Morrice, and Dave Colf took fourth. (Academian, 1970)

The J.V. Wrestling Braves, under their first year coach, Steven Austin,
completed the season with an 11-2 overall record and a tournament victory at
Geneva. Ron Langdon and Bruce Hadsell had identical 11-0 records while both
gained some Varsity experience. The future of wrestling at CA can be nothing but
great with these fine performers moving up to Varsity next year. (Academian,
