ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.  We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and articles as well.  Many college and public libraries have microform copies of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years.  In them, you can find lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time, make a trip to the library and check it out.  Ask a librarian how to get started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Two city grapplers successfully defended their 1962 titles yesterday to grab the spotlight in the Section 5 Class A Wrestling Championships at Webster High School.

Bob McFarland of Madison, who won the 95-pound toga last year, pinned Charles Principio of Geneva for the 103-pound crown. Wonder Scott of Franklin, winner of 120-pounds last year, decisioned Ray Wallman of Pittsford for the 127-pound title.

Another repeater was Neal Pipe of Corning Free Academy who grabbed the 180-pound title by pinning Pete Wamback of Eastridge. Pipe won the same class crown in 1962.

Monroe returned two champions in Roy Washington and Dietmar Bachman. Bachman decisioned Ken Brooks of Gates-Chili for the 154-pound prize while Washington decisioned Louis Kay of Geneva in the 145-pound backet.

Other area titlists were Stan Urbanski of Edison, John Lacagnina of East, Joe DeFelice of East Rochester, Vince Acciaio of Jefferson and Don Gasink of Brighton.

Tony Addante of Canandaigua grabbed top honors in the 112-pound class where he decisioned Ken Wheeler of Corning Free Academy. In the unlimited class, Richard Moore of Geneva decisioned Leo Fusilli of East in a close tussle, 3-2. Fusilli had gained the final by pinning Charles Reynolds of Corning Northside.

McFarland went into the finals as a result of a decision over John Salci of Hornell. Scott turned in a flashy performance in the semifinals, earning an 8-0 decision over Fred Taratelli of Corning Free Academy.
