With a 14-1 record,
Attica Central's wrestling team won the Wyoming County championship, ending the
14-year reign of Letchworth Central. (Batavia Daily News, 2/25/61)
The Attica Central
wrestling team of 1960-61 is a team to be remembered. Under the guidance of Mr.
Southard, they are going toward what looks like an undefeated season. With the
brilliant wrestling of Dave Trauscht, Gary Eck, Howie Steves, and the other
"Blue Devils" matmen, our wrestlers have defeated their opponents with high
scores and have won the pride and respect of the entire student body. (The
