ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.  We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and articles as well.  Many college and public libraries have microform copies of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years.  In them, you can find lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time, make a trip to the library and check it out.  Ask a librarian how to get started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Four Rochester grapplers gained Section 5 championships in the Marshall High School gymnasium last night.

Two Madison High pupils, Julius Marrese and Tony Silipini, captured the 120-pound and heavyweight titles, respectively. b of Charlotte annexed the 127-pound toga, and West High's Bob Nolan won the 154-pound final.

Charlotte Team Winner

In team scoring, Coach Sam Piatania's Interscholastic champs from Charlotte took the sectional Class A title with four wins, while Allegany County, composed of teams from Bolivar, Alfred-Almond and Wellsville, took the Class B crown with seven victories in 12 matches.

Another Rochester youth, Feno Volpe of Edison Tech, took the gymnastic championship by virtue of his wins in the parallel bars and side horse events. Paul Sauerhafer of East captured the other gym test - tumbling.

Madison Youth Wins

The other toga won by Rochester was the Class A table tennis singles. Dave Brown of Madison made a fine comeback to defeat Mt. Morris' Rog Sawyer, 15-21, 17-21, 21-14, 21-16, 21-11.

Marshall High's volleyball team, which snapped Corning Free Academy's three-year victory skein in the first round, bowed in the final to Perry, 16-14, 15-7.

Elba's sharp volleyballers took the Class B diadem, thumping Interlaken, 15-1, 15-5.
