E-mail corrections or additions to info@armdrag.com.

ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.  We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and articles as well.  Many college and public libraries have microform copies of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years.  In them, you can find lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time, make a trip to the library and check it out.  Ask a librarian how to get started and how to print out the articles that you find.

WRESTLING

Three wins and three losses were turned in for the '41 season by Purple and Gold matmen as they amassed a total of 110½ points in their six meets against 100½ scored by their opponents.

Mighty Mike Greene was tops among the Yunevich-coached squad as he went down on the record books as leading the team with a 22-point total for his six bouts. Greene allowed no points to be scored against him in dual competition and ran his string to eight consecutive wins at Tri-State Championships before going down under champion Poroski of Kent State by an 8-4 decision in the finals. Royce Luce was the only other medalist at the Championships, taking fourth place in the 136-pound division.

The season included two heart-breakers in losses to Rochester Mechanics Institute and St. Lawrence University by two-point margins. (Kanakadea, 1941)
