ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.  We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and articles as well.  Many college and public libraries have microform copies of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years.  In them, you can find lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time, make a trip to the library and check it out.  Ask a librarian how to get started and how to print out the articles that you find.

1937-38 RAMI Techmen Varsity Wrestling Team

The wrestling team for 1937-38 started early in September with a turn out of about thirty men. These men attended practice faithfully to the end of the season.

With the opening of the 1937-38 season only two men remained from the previous year's squad. The new squad therefore had to be organized mainly from Freshmen and Junior men. From this squad a very good team was formed and Mechanics Institute was in a position to schedule six meets.

With only two of our varsity squad leaving, next year looks very promising. Already schools who were previously on Mechanics Institute regular schedule in the past are asking for meets to be scheduled for next year.

The varsity squad this year consisted of Fred Druseikis, heavyweight; Jack Johnson, 175; Walter Navik, 165; Bob Kliefgen, 155; Leonard Sobel, 145; Jim Castellano, 145; Murray Reinman 135; Jack Malone, 126; Edward Blum, 126; Jerry Ricci, 118. (Ramikin, 1938)
